Halo - Domestic Abuse Case Management Database
Halo DA Case Management System
Halo is the complete case management tool for Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse services in the UK. The software includes all the tools you need to manage everything from the first helpline call, through risk assessments to Marac meetings and casenotes.
Halo has been developed by domestic abuse agencies, police forces, independent domestic abuse advisors, rape crisis centres, sexual assault referral centres and housing agencies.
Caseload Managed
The caseload manager is the centrepoint for workers.
They can view the status of key cases, upcoming alerts and risk flags.
The rocket button gives you access to instant messages, quick forms and activity journals.
Your Questions, Answered
-
Yes Halo is designed to fit the operational reality of any human‑service environment.
Domestic Abuse, Drug & Alcohol, Young People’s Services, Family Support, Housing, Criminal Justice, Early Help, Mental Health - Halo already supports them all. [refine order]
Because the system is fully configurable, it adapts to your workflows, terminology, assessments, and reporting requirements rather than forcing you into a rigid template.
If your service needs:
structured case management
clear risk visibility
multi‑team or multi‑site working
consistent processes
visible audit trails
…then Halo is a good fit. -

Costs depend on three things:
The size of your service (number of users)
The modules you need (case management, reporting, HaloXT, SMS, etc.)
Any bespoke configuration required
Halo is priced transparently and scales with your organisation. -
We combine a thoughtful, human-centred approach with clear communication and reliable results. It’s not just what we do, it’s how we do it that sets us apart.
-
Completely.
Halo is built on a fully configurable framework:
Forms
Workflows
Assessments
Dashboards
Risk tools
Multi‑agency rules
Everything can be shaped to match how your service actually works.
This is why Halo fits so many different sectors - the system bends to your practice, not the other way around. -
Most implementations take a few weeks, not months.
Because Halo has been deployed across services for over 20 years, the onboarding process is streamlined:
configuration workshops
form and workflow setup
data migration (if needed)
user testing
training
go‑live support
Smaller services can go live quickly.
Larger, multi‑team or multi‑agency setups naturally take longer - but the process is structured, predictable, and fully supported. -
Yes.
Halo runs in any modern browser, no software to install, no updates to manage.
It works on:
laptops
tablets
Workers can record notes, complete forms, and check caseloads wherever they are.
This is especially valuable for outreach teams, home‑visiting staff, and multi‑site services.
-
Halo provides:
Ongoing support via the in-system Crisp messaging tool
Halo ticket system
Halo support, Monday - Friday, 9-5.30 (excluding bank holidays)
Halo workshop training, train the trainer
4 hours of config hours included monthly.
And because Halo is used across the UK, the support team understands the operational context of your service. -
Yes this is one of Halo’s strengths.
Halo supports:
Multi service sites (for example, Drug & Alcohol, Domestic Abuse and ASB) so workers can work collaboratively where a client may be seen by different services at one time ensuring data is not lost and the client doesn't need to continuallyy repeat information.
Within these services Halo supports multiple agencies, teams and episode types to follow the services process/es.
Halo is group based so each user can have access to different modules dependent on the groups attached to their profile, this is also done at a team level as 1 worker can have profiles for many teams.
As a sharing aware system, sharing is custom per team and a newly created episode within one team can be shared to others by default or this can be done manually when required. -
Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.
-
Yes.
Halo is built with granular, real‑world data‑sharing controls:
team‑based visibility
role‑based permissions
case‑by‑case access
restricted notes
safeguarding‑level controls
multi‑agency opt‑in rules
audit trails for every view, edit, and share
This means information is shared only when it should be, and never when it shouldn’t. -
Halo includes a full reporting suite:
real‑time dashboards
operational reports
performance indicators
outcomes reporting
risk reporting
custom report builder
export options
automated scheduled reports
Because all data is structured and consistent, reporting is accurate, fast, and audit‑ready. -
Halo is hosted in a UK‑based Tier 3 data centre, fully compliant with:
UK GDPR
ISO27001
NHS DSP Toolkit
The 14 Cloud Security Principles
Data never leaves the UK.
Backups, encryption, and security monitoring are all standard.
Halo follows your clients’ data journey
Halo tracks your clients’ entire data journey in a unified, audit-ready timeline, while being fully customisable to match your forms, processes, assessments, and KPIs with automated processes and real-time dashboards.
